The Challenge
Competition amongst the credit card giants is always intense, as they are constantly in search of retailers to use them as the house credit card. At MoneyMart, Visa was entrenched as the house credit supplier, and MasterCard wanted to find a way in. They promised MoneyMart a free promotion to switch to MasterCard, now all they needed was a plan. So they turned to us.
The Solution
We devised a plan to integrate MasterCard into MoneyMart by engaging MoneyMart customers with instant win opportunities every time they used their card.

Here’s how it worked. MoneyMart customers would be issued a MasterCard credit card, and would then register their card along with their cell phone number. Aside from those two pieces of identification, SCAi had no user data or personal information – the contest and customer information was completely secure. Every time a customer used their card, they’d get a text inviting them to participate in an online scratch-and-win game. If they were a winner, cash would be placed instantly on their MasterCard.
